concept about tt gathering

hey people!

The TT Gathering is not just about clubbing and stuff, its more to socializing and knowing ppl tat u duno.ppl from few years back then. ppl from the last committee, finalists from last few years. the reason we state thr clubing style its becoz we wan audience to wear clubing styke attire.u go thr and haf fun, u can sit n drink, sit n eat, dance n eat, dance n drink, o not ding anytg at all which i think u wunt do tat.

places are very LIMITED! place ur bookings now and pay later. to avoid dissapoinment. only 200 pax onl are allowed to enter the club/pub

alcohol not provided/inclusive with the RM50/RM60. u can only buy the alcohols inside the pub/club. no outside food o beverages are allow to be brought in.

TT nite private gathering

this is no longer a survey but information

we will be organizing an annual tt nite private gathering for tt nite from previous and current years. this is something like a private party for tt ppl, which means u guys are the VIPs. no ordinary ppl will be attending, no lecturers and certainly no TARC!
however, to make things more flexible since we are doing it the 1st time, we will give advantage to u guys to bring one 'non-tt' ppl to come with u, they can be ur siblings, gf, bf, or family members. note that tt ppl are all crazy, its not advisable to bring ur 'orang tuas'...they will go crazy watching tt ppl doing all the carzy stuff.
we will be opening a dance floor for u guys to have fun. anybody wish to stay after 11pm is ur wish. but it is no longer in our responsibility (safety).
this year tt nite finalists will be performing again for the previous dudes to enjoy. which will also be our tradition/legacy for every tt nite private gathering in the future.

It has been a week now... every thing is over after that crucial 4 hours.. so fast.. faster den i eva imagine..

remember the day i go for interview.. i did not ask for this post.. still hoping hard that we will have a good program master to lead the way.... interview was okie.. i think..

the day to announce our post.. we gather bside the college hall.. saw alot of new faces.. well, this is the people that i going to work with.. still.. wondering wat post will i get..

i was still in my own dreamy world.. when sumone called my name.. gosh.. program master??!!!..
how can i handle such a big post?.. i am not experienced enuf to make every thing work.. slowly i walk to the sit that i had been ask to sit.. still.. thinking hard.. how can this happen...

end of the ice-breaking.. people starting to congrats me for getting this post.. they seems to be vy confident in me when i hav doubt for myself.. gosh.. wat i shuld do nxt??...

i remain silent for a week or two.. until the 1st meeting.. in swc room.. i noe.. i will be required to talk.. i called chua for help.. urgent matter.. cuz i duno wat i shuld say.. i duno how the meeting past.. but i remember well that the advisors had doubt on us when they get to noe that we are all gals.. (the charlie's angels).. and,, i said with all passion that we can do it.. I CAN DO IT!!~

process starts... planing for the 1st pnp.. at 1st.. i fel vy awkward to conduct the meetings.. when i duno all of the comm well yet.. but i get to know that some of them hav more experience then i hav.. i am worried.. cuz i am new.. but i kip it well..

1st pnp.. things was messy at the 1st place.. with OO booth beside us, somehow.. i feel pressured.. gosh.. we must be betta.. i was so satistied with the booth design... audition progress was abit slow in the begining.. but.. all the judges began to fel the stress when loads of ppl coming in.. altho we know that most of them came for the stamp.. yet.. we still judge them professionally.. Evryone was vy vy bz.. but we get to have fun and play around without forgetting our duty...!!~...

1st day to met our finalist.. 52 finalist sat infront of me.. waiting for me to start the talking.. chua did the talking.. and i just briefly explain about the contract.. not all the finalist signed the contract on the spot.. some of them hesitated.. some of them sign immediately... it is vy obvious that they dun really noe wat is TT nite all about...

training starts.. 1 month.. alot of things happened.. tears and sweat... being a program master is not the same as being a finalist.. now.. i get to know that being a finalist is far more ez den a commitee.. i.. not jz have to take care of the prog team.. but the whole process of the event.. from the finalist progress.. till the equipment for the AV system..i truly learn alot of new stuff.. altho i am vy vy vy vy stressed up...

elimination day.. the 1st time.. i shed my tears in front of my finalists.. knowing that i cant.. but i cant control.. altho i am the one who make the decision.. still i fel bad... they are talented.. but there is just something.. makes them not to stay... we all feel bad..

1 week to TT.. i kicked one of the finalist out.. the 1st time i really show my anger in front of evryone.. i can fel that the whole college hall in silence when i shouted at her.. i felt so funny when i think bac.. the 1st time angie react lik that huh... hahaha~~.. dun get on to my nerves..

Rehearsal... gosh.. i feel so damn stress.. "2ml is the day... we worked for almost 3 months... 2ml is the day!!!~..." theres alot of things and planing muz be updated changes muz be made...me and eugene wanted to cry out loud...worse when ppl doesn co-operate with us...

ACTUAL NIGHT!!~.. the opening was superb.. i wanted so much to cry.. but i did not... the night turned out good.. altho there is some technical probs.. but no serious.. all my finalists perform so well.. i saw them growing.. now.. they shine on stage.. they really grown up alot.. Finale.. i was crying already.. they are my finalists.. i wanted to shout at the audience.. saying that.. I AM VY VY PROUD OF THEM!!!~...

alot of huggings and tears after the show.. we did it.. we ALL did it.. all the conflicts we had.. its all gone.. mission accomplished.. i had a team.. a vy vy strong team.. to make the night so success!!~...

THANK YOU!!~.. FOR THOSE WHO HELP ME THAT MUCH IN THIS NIGHT!!~.. i hav learnt alot and i did appreciate the chance being a prog master.. honestly.. i wanted to give up in the middle of the journey.. bcuz of u guys.. committees and finalists.. i stayed... and thank god i did not leave..

FROM Business Director to the OC

This is a very humbling experience to say the least because I know I am standing up here because of others. Those others are the committees and Finalists I worked with @ Talentime Nite 2008, TARC as well as a special group of people in the community; namely the advisor of Talentime Nite 2008. Without them, I have no chance of becaming a successful business director and I certainly would never have been able to get to the point where I was able to carve out a 4month career in this event.

We all have that dream of being involved in things we love to do. In my case it was events. I have never once looked @ myself as one who is the best, but I never once looked @ myself as one who is the worst. I’ve always manage to look @ my life as, “I am somewhere in the middle striving to be as good as I can be.”

I always liked to be in the team because I found it easier to worked as a team than I did as an individual. If you put a team out there one on one, they are going to struggle. If you put them out there in a team concept, give them some guidelines and principles to work by, we can all have success. Rarely do we do anything in life without being part of some kind of team. We start with being dependent, move to being independent and thrive when we become inter-dependent with others.

When I became a director, I found myself very demanding and I am still that way. The difference is I want everyone to do well in life and also events. There have been times when I’ve been hard on people and they couldn’t handle it. I like people who work and play hard and I like aggressive people who care about others while they are maximizing their potential. I believe it is healthy to survive in this world on determination and smarts while being a team player and caring person.

I am still under the belief that most people accept when you are hard on them or tell them something they do not want to hear; but only when they sense you have a passion for everything you do and it is done out of love and you wanting them to be a success story in life. I have never been afraid to hold others accountable and I expect committees to hold themselves accountable without creating bail outs because of schedules, coaches, divorce or some situation beyond our control.

I am still under the belief that a disciplined, no-nonsense approach is the only way to go when dealing with people and I have found this to be true in the business world.

We all become better @ what we do when we no longer have anything to prove to our critics. We need to look for the good in every situation and by the way, I love to deal in the letter “C”. Cerebral enough to make good Choices, Compassion for others, Curiosity to learn, Composure to put the past behind and perform in the present, answer your Critics, Confidence in our abilities, Communication skills like speaking and listening, Commitment to the task and Competitively mean where you win all the little battles. All of this forms our Character and ability to perform in Critical moments. We need to develop an attitude about life so we can walk with the swagger and the Charisma we need to work our way through life. All this is necessary beyond any skills we have.

If we can make a commitment to everything we do, we can stay competitive and thrive. That is what you all had proved yourself during this 4month journey.

Last but not least, think big; believe big and big things will happen if you apply a dose of determination. I used to love going to the state tournament for two reasons. Number one, young people matured probably one full year under that pressure and you could not afford to pay for the positive exposure for the school and community. They also had more time to assess their “blind spots”, something we all need to do.

Treasure the memories, make it all part of the mix, but I hope the memories you share go way beyond your college ears when you reach my parent age (hopefully beyond! that).

Its exactly 3days after one of the most hectic time of our life, Personally Talentime Nite 08 has been both emotinally and physically challenging. Pondering over that trying time, you came across my mind. Thanks for being a friend in need and sorry if I have done or said anything that offended you. Look forward working with you all again.

Finally,TT nite 08 has ended.All commitees & helpers did their job well,finalist performed well,and CHUA is a good student because"HE LOVE TAR COLLEGE".Although we do not have much chance to see each other anymore,but,we are still friend right!?Haha,and i am proud to call myself as'TARC TALENTIME NITE 2008 COMMITEE'no matter 10years or 20years later.This is the first time that i join this kind of event,i have learnt alot from TT.I met a lot of new friends.I love those moments when we work together,I wont forget you all.Honestly,at the beginning,i hope TT can end as fast as possible,so that i wont be busy for too long times,but,after 1 or 2 weeks i worked with you all,i began to like TT,and now,i hope TT 08 will never end,my most unforgettable moment of TT is the opening ceremony,when principal turned the key,then,the light of 'TT 08' word turned on,and by that time we can hear the sound of instrument and the audiences began to scream,that time i felt like our baby is born,im sure that all of us felt excited that time.I would say thank you to 'TAR COLLEGE LOVER-AH CHUA',and all the TT commitees,finalist and helpers,I learnt alot from u all,and i felt good of working with you all,i really miss the time when we were working together,thanks!

committees!!!! all those hard work 4 four months if i'm not mistaken... had finally showed out... even though sometimes i did scold u guyz... i did felt guilty rite afta tat.. btw, u guyz r d greatest... imagine we start from zero n come up wit amazing performances on TT Nite... no matter which department u're from, u guyz reali did a great job on tat nite... v r bunch of ppl wit no experience at any field but then v manage to make TT Nite GREAT!!!! at first, people really doubt our committees if we can manage to do a big event.. just bcoz v r new n fresh but v had prove them wrong!!!!! jus look at our Nite!!!!!!! oh ya, dun 4get v will be havin post mortem around tis week or next week...

crewz!!!! i been close wit STAGE CREWZZ... so guyz.. i thanked for ur help in doin d stage, witout u guyz, v will never manage to set up d stage on time... d iglooZ n iceberg... i had a good time in helpin out wit stage... u guyz r a bunch of crazy ppl... hahahaha.... salute u guyz for ur crazi-ness... keep it up...


TT Nite!!!!! thx to TT... i learn a lot of stuffz... i'll regret if i didn't join TT... thx!!! u gav us all a sweet memory n lessons in d process.... let us hope tat d new batch who will do TT Nite, can learn from TT n grow from it....

T-Minus Seven Days

There are less than seven days to Talentime Nite 2008. We should all be excited... and nervous. Now is the time for everybody to up their level, do their work well, and help out at every other department whenever they can.

A great number of us were at OO Nite tonight, and now we know what we have to beat. It's not a competition, true, but we are after all hosting an event, so we'd like to have the best event possible.

I'll see you a lot this week, and let's work together this final week so we can produce the greatest TT Nite possible.

Now is the time to encourage and motivate everyone involved: committee members, crew members, and finalists. One week is not a very long time. In a blink of an eye it will soon be the actual night.

Please bring a photo of what you intend to wear on the actual night for the Wednesday meeting. You all know the attire rules we've set (red/white; etc). Those of you who haven't completed your costume should show us what you have already got. You do not have to bring the clothes! Just bring a photo.

I understand if you can't get - or can't afford, or are unwilling - your costumes, but please show us SOMETHING so we can give you more time.

We're flexible people too. Not all of us can afford white tuxedoes.
