Budget meeting - 4pm, tomorrow (March 31), at SWC Room.
All Directors and Asst. Directors from departments that require budgeting and proposals should attend.
Program Mistress Angie will preside over the finalizations of the budget, along with the complete proposal sendings based on our theme.
If you're a Director and/or Asst. Director in a department that needs to confirm a budget and/or proposal, be there.
(Don't forget Angels' Rule #1 - If you're at all late for a meeting, you pay a fine)
(Why do I have a feeling that I'll be paying a whole lot of money to Angie???)

The Chairman (me) has been caught singing, and so has the External Vice-Chair (Jeff).
You know what that means.
SIOK CHENG YOU'RE NEXT. WE'RE TAPING YOU THIS MONDAY.
= = = = =
In other news: our meeting today at the SWC Room did not include Asst Directors but we more than fully filled-out the room. Angie took the reins as Program Master very very ably, flanked by her two assistants, Carmen (men_men, the lunatic who keeps talking smack about me), and Alice (Alice_unbelievable, who... cannot... be believed).
SAD mentioned this was the first time a major event in college was Program Master'd by a girl, and I realize the entire Program Master section are three girls. "Charlie's Angels."
Technically, if you wanted to be funny... it would be:

Ignore the YouTube video of the chairman singing. It's not true. That's not how he sounds like, oh, and ummmm... It's a virus.

Man do I hate Friendster
(Visit his personal blog here)
I suppose since we're on the topic of MSN'ing and since we've started work-ish yesterday, I'll make it a point to ask you all to add me on your respective social networking sites.
I know a bunch of you have Friendster, great! Awesome! Add me you dirty buggers. I'm found at amirul_blackwolf[AT]yahoo[dot]com.
But as you may see from the title of this blog post, it may come to little surprise that I hate Friendster. So do me a real favor and join Facebook or something.
Facebook is awesome.
Unless you spam me with lots of requests. Yes, I'm looking at you, Carmen.

91 And Done.
by Amirul ("Paul") B Ruslan. (Visit his personal blog here)
After three whole days of interviewing, we the TT Nite initial organizing committee have finally closed our recruitment drive.
The principal interviewers were me, Winky, and Jeff; assisted heavily by Carmen and Siok Cheng, though also aided on by Tabby, Myke, Yau Wai and others. I've probably missed a few names, so if I have, well sucks to you. And apologies.
As you may have read in the previous posts, we did a total of 25 interviews on the first day. Yesterday on the 18th of March we added on that with an extra 32, and today we did a rather amazing 34 interviews. All in all, an amazing 91 people came for the Talent Time Nite 2008 interviews: a rather high turnout - we'd seen about 105 people sign up at our recruitment booth.
Winky and my own initial expectation had been something closer to 80 maximum interviews, with probably about 60 actual candidates. This number was a lot higher, and at times we didn't even have the manpower to support the long queues!
A grading scheme was eventually passed (aha! pun) by Winky, Jeff and me: we needed candidates to score above 7.5 for them to be in our Tier I candidates, the ones who were under serious consideration for senior posts. Scores above 5.0 were the absolute minimum, being our rudimentary passing grade. We based it on a combination of knowledge, experience, skill, confidence and a good first impression.
So now we're finalizing on who's in and who's not. Watch this space.

Interview Day 2: Photos
Camera phone photos of Day 2.
Only Jeff posing here. Winky hides and blends in perfectly with the cupboard behind, and Carmen has her face hidden away in some smile of some sort.
Tabby and Mr. Chairman.
By now you think we're a very unserious bunch, yeah? ABSOLUTE TRUTH.
Jeff, Winky and Carmen: deciding on who'll be in.
Mr. Chairman, Mr. PR Head, and Miss Secretary.
The most disturbing photo evar.
Oh, and Carmen's fingers pointing at my face.
There! I'd leave a report, but me, I'm too lazy.

Interviews: Day One Of Three
Five people were involved in the interviewing sessions at the SWC Room today, and they were me, Winky, Jeff, Carmen and Siok Cheng.
You'll probably remember Carmen for her extremely funny comments on the Cbox. She's soo popular.
At the beginning of the day there had been 57 signups on the interview-candidates list, and the list rose to a rather phenomenal 86 by the end of the day. At this rate I have the slight suspicion that we're not even going to be able to interview all of the available people.
25 people were interviewed today: good output - had a long empty spell around ten to about eleven, then packed with interviews 'til practically the end of the day.
Jeff/Jevil was on hand for his ever-interesting questions, which was probably best seen in his one-off question to this one girl, "Do you have pets?" Man, do I love Jeff.
Winky's astounded look back to Jeff pretty much summed up my emotion too.
We had a number of good candidates, and a number of bad times too: there were those lacking any real interest, a few who were too nervous to offer us anything more than a basic idea, as well as the one incident where a guy answered his phone whilst being interviewed, going on to talk on the phone for the next two to four minutes (!) in Mandarin with Siok Cheng and me in front.
I think with this experience done, we've got plenty of energy in the SSSH SWC to fuel the future TT Nite cabinet (excuse my electoral-speak) for a great time.
