I've been stuck on some serious buggered Internet connections, meaning I haven't been online as much as I'd like, haven't blogged on my own blog as much as I'd like, and haven't spammed Carmen on MSN as much as I'd like.
But one thing seems to hit me regardless of who's computer I use, and that's the fact that I can't get the blog to work properly. Myke's changes in integrating the website with the blog is a nice touch but ultimately hollow - a blog's supposed to be a journal. A diary. A weblog.
I'd like to keep the new format, but with complaints of the tagboard (which probably is what most people visiting here want to check out) not working well, the comments-page being missing and the inefficient HTML code being used (but I think some of it's bad JavaScript too, maybe? I dunno), I think it's best we stick to a tried-and-tested simple text+photos blog. I'm changing the design and going old-school blogspot.
Any queries, suggestions or further comments can be posted on the blog, or sent via MSN/email to any of the people you see running this thing. Most probably me.

Early Thoughts

It wasn't too long ago that Talent Time Night was just something at the back of my mind after I received this strange phone call at around 8am by the SAD about having to host something or another.
Then I woke up properly.
"Oh, crap," I thought - and it was a real thought here, pregnant with some serious realizations. Some realizations like, "Bloody hell, I've only been SSSH Rep for a while, I don't know if I'm ready for this!"
Also, I had just missed about an hour of class.
"Oh crap," I thought - and it was a real thought here, pregnant with some serious realizations. Some realizations like, "Bloody hell, if this keeps up, I'll have a CGPA lower than Julia Hoo!"
(Just kidding, of course. Her average isn't all that shabby)
Walking downstairs wearing one of those ridiculous costume-mixups I wore that generally is only seen in certain types of circuses, I knew I had to make some phone calls.
The SSSH SWC hadn't had much of a great record for speedy work (not on my side at least). SSSH Night was left abandoned at the beginning of the semester, something I'm very proud to suggest will take place by this year, and the fundraising had mysterious evaporated. I knew I had to make some phone calls, and fast.
I made some and called for a short meeting of all the SWC heads of department. People like Jeff, Alice, Carmen. Everybody at the meet was very excited. I remembered Mr Yik's initial words: "Do you think you are confident?"
As the meeting finished, I was thinking, hell, yeah. We're going to do it.
And now, with 68 days to go, I'm still thinking, hell, yeah.

A Brief History of: The General Meeting Today

Hey there everybody! Thanks for coming to the meeting today. (For those who were late, extra-thanks! You're all so very generous for paying for my dinner!)
The meet was very last-minute, I know, and even I didn't know it was going to be a full GM until I messaged Winky late yesterday. Thanks for proving your commitment in this very small way by attending a short-notice meet.
Hope you guys had a stellar exam week.
(PS. Anybody got a good picture of me in my Winter Student Communist look? Julia? Myke? Personally I think my color-fashion-coordination has gotten a lot better since the days of Cowboy Hat + Green "Batik" Shirt)

about me (primary sch lvl,if u dun 1 hate jeff then plz dun read)
Ths blog is my feeling abt TTnite08 and promoting my own blog www.jeffjevil.blogspot.com
erm...i reli dunknw tat i sud post in here anot? watevr...pretend u dint read after u read. When i receive the message frm amiru that SSH wil handle TTnite for this year,i was damn freaking happy abt that! (this happy maintain 2minutes then its disappear). I m the PnP director in OOnite last year (cz OOnite under SSH SWC). Base on my experience,work will be done by well when only tats a teamwork in a team. every where that having humans,gossip will be there also,and ofcoz i lov u,u lov me,ma ma mi. I hope this kind of thing wil not happen in this year TTnite n OOnite aslo.
When i was the PnP director,sincerely tat the first 2 meeting,i was enjoyin my day dream so call mcc(mong cha cha). when 1st PnP come then means also the "chance of learning" comes also.1st day,2nd day n so on will b compare abt the improvement of own booth. I believe that this year PnP dept wil not make me disappiont.PR n Security, i promise u all i wil do my best 2 invite CHUA for the crew briefing,currently he is busy but i believe he will do his best to assist us also.
Be sincere that i was getting high since i receive the msg until now n until the actual nite. Stress is follow at the back aslo.Maybe you think that this was just a college event,but trust me,ur impression will effect ur whole life,if you cnt prove that u r serious in doing work then in the future,ppl might not trust u anymore.If u do ur best n serious in ur task,trust me! ppl seeing that and they will appreciate ur effort 4 runing this college event that not gonna pay u 4 single sen.
For me,TTnite is like a war(seriously), I believe our committee no 1 like 2 lose in war.What i can see in our committee is all SPARTANS,even the size is small,but the spirit to gain the glory of winning the war is not doubt by me. SPARTANS!!!! The war will GETTING start very soon, R u all ready ?

29/04/08 (tuesday) 9am SWC room will having a general meeting. Since i had tell u all early,then for those who late comers,they will be the charitarian who donate RM5. For the VBP (very bad philanthropist)-me(jeff). If late then will be fine RM15. So i believe that you all have no reason to be late,some committee ned to exam later,so i hope it can be finish faster. early in the 6am morning,i wil brush my teeth and I will eat breakfast with Mr Nyak and open door with S.A.D. and and and will sing Timberland's song for those later having exam."Its too late to memories"
For those that cant attend,pls inform your directors and make sure there will be someone in your dept to present for your dept progress. Think carefully about the reason that makes you cant attend the meeting. If I can accept then it will be a reason,if i cnt accept then it will be an excuse. oh ya...dun forget that i m the bad guy.

Our last General Meeting for the semester will be held at 4pm-6pm on Monday, April 14th. The Secretariat has yet to announce the venue, but all Directors will receive confirmation by tomorrow - Directors, don't forget to contact your assistants. Do not miss this meeting - we need to wrap up the April business before the semester ends.
I obviously don't have to remind you all to please prepare all your Department reports and be ready to speak about your progress on Monday. We have two hours so let's not waste a second of it.
